Vancouver, BC – Exclusive new video published to YouTube on August 26, 2016, reveals entries to this year’s free NewsInsideOut Plus Summer NanoFilm MicroFestival. The spontaneous social media event began earlier this week on the NewsInsideOut Facebook page and has since reached over 20,000 viewers. Themes for this year’s festival highlight mysteries of time including communications transmitted backwards in time, photographing the Buddhist ‘God of Time’, identifying Russian spies nine months before the mainstream press, UFO movie-like Close Encounters, luminous entities in a UFO Canyon and photographing the Vedic avatars.
In keeping with the festival title, all submissions are one minute or less in duration, featuring rare documentary content representative of the NewsInsideOut Plus catalog. NewsInsideOut Plus is the Canadian independent media lab and distribution platform focused on providing breakthrough content repeatedly censored from mainstream and social media outlets. In a media and academic environment known for filmmaker bankruptcies, expensive research and restricted access to funding, independent grassroots efforts are leading the way in accessing, documenting and publishing breakthrough phenomena such as those celebrated in this year’s festival.
Both social media giants YouTube and Facebook continue to provide obstacles to the continuity of these public-interest programs with fraudulent claims citing “not advertiser friendly” content and new two week restrictions on participation in online common-interest groups. To what end the forced suppression of freedom of speech and lawful peaceful congregation, social media? It is evident by these hard facts that viewer-supported subscription-based pay-per-view distribution is currently one of the only available growth avenues for continued production of the exceptional documentary educational content featured in NewsInsideOut Plus.
NewsInsideOut Plus is for readers who support our journalism and want to deepen their connection with “Inside-Out” reporting. For $7 per month or $70 per year, a richer NewsInsideOut experience awaits.
