Rogue Belgian Green MP Almaci spurns meeting with citizen group advised by former Belgian MP, continues her coverup role in unlawful 20 month imprisonment over Facebook dust-up with innocent constituent
By Alfred Lambremont Webre
VANCOUVER, BC – When contacted by a Belgian citizen’s group that is advised by a distinguished former Belgian Member of Parliament as part of a campaign to free Felipe Silva Moldes, who has been held in a Belgian prison and psychiatric ward for 20 months because of an unlawful criminal complaint against him over a Facebook dustup in April 2014, Belgian Green MP Meyrem Almaci, who represents Antwerp, summarily refused to meet with the group attempting to find a compassionate solution to secure release of Mr. Silva Moldes.
Instead, MP Almaci stated that the group, which is advised in every step by a distinguished former Belgian Member of Parliament, “does not appear to understand Belgian law.” Felipe Silva Moldes, her innocent constituent, appears to be in prison at the instigation of MP Meyrem Almaci’s overreach of power and authority in ordering Belgian Police to arrest someone who displeased her on Facebook, which they did reportedly within one hour of her complaint.
MP Meyrem Almaci has now gone rogue
NewsInsideOut.com is now publishing the full record of Meyrem Almaci’s rebuff to the citizens of Antwerp and Belgium (below) and will be continuing its investigation with the Green Party of Belgium to determine if MP Almaci is subject to recall proceedings in Antwerp because of her abuse of authority and power in malicious prosecution and false witness against Mr. Silva Moldes, resulting in a 20 month indeterminate sentence without charges for a Facebook dustup in April 2014.
MP Almaci: A stone-walling coverup
MP Meyrem Almaci’s response to the citizen’s group supporting a campaign for the release of Felipe Silva Moldes was, in the vernacular of politics “a stone-walling coverup”.

| subject: | CASE OF FELIPE SILVA MOLDES : SOLUTION PROPOSAL |
Jan. 7, 2016
Dear Ms. Almaci,
I am writing to you with regard to the events occurred in the case of Mr. Felipe Silva Moldes, which have recently come to our and now as well as increasingly to the public’s attention.
As such, I have taken note of your exchanges here enclosed, including your description of the facts, with two of my associates, Mr. Jean Verstraeten and Mr. Alfred Lambremont Webre.
I am the Public Relations Director of the European Coalition against Covert Harassment.
As a human rights organization, EUCACH’s main organizational goals consist in:
1. Banning weapons systems operating on new physics principles used in order to torture or inflict other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment
2. Prohibiting the use of symptoms of torture by new physics weapons as basis for psychiatric commitment or incarceration of targeted individuals
For further information about our association, please consult the documents attached including a EU legislation proposal to enforce these human rights to protect our citizens from these abuses.
In this role, it happens frequently that I am contacted by citizens who are subjects of illegal experiments, have been implanted remote influencing technologies in their body against their consent and/or who are forced into to psychiatric institutions. The latter represents a second victimization that generally occurs after they have filed a complaint or otherwise drawn attention to their plight.
Together with our American sister organization, the International Center against Abuse of Covert Technologies, of which I am also a founding member and its European Director, we have developed a three-phase-testing protocol to obtain scientific proof of non-consensual implantation by scanning members of the public for radio frequency emissions in a shielded environment (certified Faraday cage) in Belgium. I therefore enclose also a letter of reference to ICAACT by the City Council of Richmond, California acknowledging our testing program and recognizing this community-based approach, which has since then led to legislation banning such crimes in the city of Richmond.
Having been forcibly committed and medicated in the Menin Psychiatric Center, Mr. Silva Moldes, contacted me in July 2015 on Facebook with a plea for help. Together with my friend Ms. Malika Bouchafa, a French psychologist, we decided to visit him in the hospital to gain more understanding on his situation.
He reported having been in an increasingly difficult financial and emotional situation in spring 2014, as he had not been able to find a stable job since 10 years. He was able to hold a job as a tram driver for one year, but was fired after a colleague had slandered him with his employer by telling lies.
Moreover, his girl-friend had announced her pregnancy to him. He became increasingly worried not to be able to provide for the child. He was looking for another job with a preference in the finance sector, wherein his interest lies, but could not find one. All of his applications were refused or remained unanswered.
He then contacted you on Facebook hoping you would be able to provide him with counsel on assistance or welfare benefits available for citizens in his situation. He said there was some interaction with you on Facebook, when he tried to retain your attention regarding his desperate situation, but to his great astonishment, he was removed from your Facebook contacts, which left him very upset.
According to his telling, he had tried to contact you then via the Green Party. But again, he was either prevented by your colleagues to speak to you directly and/or was put through to an answering machine. With his financial situation further deteriorating and the increasing tensions at home with his partner, the break-up of his relationship and the loss of custody of his baby, his frustration rapidly grew.
According to his declarations, which we have all audio-recorded, desperation then turned to anger. He left various angry messages, of which the strongest was indeed a threat to “destroy your party” (He never talked about “crushing you” personally, but always expressed his disappointment and frustration with the Green Party) .
When we talked to him, he stressed however, that this happened in a state of anger and despair and that he now regretted the tone of his messages.
Whatever it is that exactly happened, when I asked him for legal documents regarding his case and sentence, we found hardly any evidence to convict him except for the accusation “stalking by false message”, which to me as well as to other witnesses lacked total clarity and transparency.
One thing Ms. Bouchafa and I, during our visit, and all later witnesses to this case unanimously agreed on, and still do so to this day, is that the penalty applied seems totally disproportionate to any offense he could have committed.
However annoying or disturbing his messages might have been to your colleagues and yourself, we do not believe that they should have led to a deprivation of liberty in prison and a psychiatric ward lasting now for almost two years.
When Mr. Verstraeten asked you what had exactly happened, you replied that you did not want to comment or give any declaration regarding the events occurred. We certainly appreciate that you changed your mind and provided us with your account of the facts.
Alarmed by renewed messages by Mr. Silva Moldes, where he sounded increasingly desperate and even stated his intention to take his own life as a result of being imprisoned without the right to a fair trial, Ms. Bouchafa and I decided to visit him again in December.
Our first common impression was that after half a year in psychiatry, Felipe looked considerably more depressed and seemed to have lost all hope. In the furtherance of our objective to obtain as much information and court evidence as possible about his case, we had suggested to him in July to ask his lawyer for his complete file containing all the pieces used for the accusation and to those for his defense.
To our surprise, he reported that he had done so, but his lawyer had not appreciated his request, let alone given it any suit. He regretted not being able to provide us with any further written evidence on his case for this reason.
However, he very much wished to be given the opportunity to provide us with his declarations, which we recorded for the purpose of evidence collection about his case. He told us various times how grateful he was for the opportunity to express himself, as since recently, he found himself confronted with the risk of renewed incarceration in prison. The perspective of being imprisoned again had plunged him into deep desperation and he was now considering suicide.
On record, he stated that faced with a total uncertainty of his release date from the psychiatric ward, he had drunk some wine during a weekend permit intended for him to do his shopping. Upon his return, the hospital decided to order an alcohol test, which turned out to be positive. He then was informed that a commission was going to be formed in March, which would decide if he would remain in the hospital or was to be returned to prison.
He came to the conclusion that he would rather die than to go back to prison. As you could see from the video shown in the broadcast of NewsInsideOut.com, this recording was interrupted by hospital staff and he was unable to express his full version of the facts.
Nevertheless, his story has attracted attention and provoked public outcry. Several other Member of Parliaments and news broadcasters around the world have taken note and are ready to relay it.
As it is surely not in your interest that constituents could conclude globally that ringing the Green Party with their concerns could end them up in prison, wouldn’t it be more beneficial for everybody involved to meet around a table and to find an amicable solution to this problem ?
Would you for example consider withdrawing your complaint on compassionate grounds ?
As Mr. Lambremont Webre stated, we will continue to investigate this case, but our main concern is to find an appropriate solution with all parties involved as well as the release of Mr. Silva Moldes from the Ghent prison where he is currently held as the first step in the recovering of all his fundamental human rights.
Could you let me know a good time for me to call you at the Parliament to discuss the matter on the telephone and/or to take an appointment for us to meet to talk about this issue ?
Looking forward to your reply, I remain at your disposal for any further questions or queries you might have.
Yours sincerely,
Melanie Vritschan

Meyrem Almaci MP
Dear MP Meyrem Almaci Thank you for your statement giving your side of the facts in the case of the unlawful detention of Felipe Silva Moldes, contrary to human rights laws in Belgium and the European Union. Our office is undertaking further investigation in this case as we believe Felipe Silva Moldes human rights have been and continue to be severely damaged. We will be publishing further articles in this case that include your perspective as well as Felipe Silva Molde’s and a summary of similar cases of Facebook flame wars in other jurisdictions to show the disproportionate penalty applied here to an innocent Felipe Silva Moldes, something that you as a public official who has intentionally chosen to open a virtual office on Facebook should have known. Public officials cannot open virtual public offices on Facebook for their constituents and then file criminal complaints against their constituents for behaviours that are widespread on Facebook and for which the Facebook solution of “blocking” is available. Public officials who use social media like Facebook have no more privileges than the ordinary citizen while on Facebook.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information

Article NewsInsideOut concerning… myself

Dear columnists and staff of the website NewsInsideOut.com,
My name is Meyrem Almaci. The last 10 days I find myself being described in your ‘top story’. To my big surprise, I must say. Not just because I seem to have a lot of power in Belgium, such as the power to overrule the entire justice system by just one phonecall. But also because I have done this simply because a man with the name of Felipe Silva, has tried to contact me concerning his pregnant girlfriend.
Quite incredible. As in: not credible at all. First of all: up until today I didn’t even know what mr Felipe Silva Moldes looked like. The police never gave me his photograph, to protect him, as is normal in a democracy. Let alone told me about him having a girlfriend, pregnant at that time. I learned this from your article and youtube interview.
I have also never testified in the press about my complaint towards Mr Silva Moldes, since I did not want to draw attention to it. Yes, of course for my own sake, but also because of Mr Silva Moldes and his future. Because he had drawn quite some negative attention to himself two years ago.
It is nevertheless clear that you are unaware with the functioning of the legal system in Belgium. In cases like this it is always the prosecutor who opens a file and an investigation. This prosecutor then forwards the file to a judge of instruction, who has placed Mr Silva Moldes under arrest. Another court then decides whether the accused has to stay in jail and if he has to stay in detention. He (Mr Silva Moldes) can always appeal. The case is then put in front of three judges who can overrule. This procedure is repeated every month. The judge of instruction appoints a psychiatrist to perform an investigation. He advises the court on the mental wellness of the accused. The court decides about his mental state and whether he has to stay in jail. He (mr. Silva Moldes) can appeal against the final decision (which he didn’t). Every 6 months, another court has to control his situation and has the possibility to release him and declare him mentally recovered. Equally, against this decision he can appeal. At every stage of the procedure he is assisted by his lawyer.
Up until now I therefore really kept quiet about this, to protect my own privacy and that of my family. But after this slandering article, you leave me no choice. The simple truth is that Mr Silva Moldes is a psychiatric patient that seeks attention and in doing so, targets public figures such as me. I have been working als MP on the issue of the banking crisis. Mr Silva Moldes presented himself in facebookposts and messages as an expert on the subject. He started conversations on my Facebook accounts and randomly insulting people who disagreed with him. Since it was my account, and since it was open to everyone, I received more and more complaints about him. At that moment I decided to deny him access.
And then he simply … went mad. Under his own name, under other accounts, he started insulting and threatening me. Saying that he was a guru with unmentionable powers to crush me. With access to the justice systems of mighty countries abroad, and to mighty figures. Then he started calling. To the Green party, to the parliament. Trying to find me. Over and over again he called and left hours of raging messages in which he threatened me and everyone close to me. To put a long story short: the pictures taken from Facebook, the messages left on the cell phones of several party employees left nothing to imagination. They are all evidence, presented in court.
You could have easily have had this information, if ANY of you just bothered to contact me before you made me the monster in your article. You know, like any normal journalist would do. Check both sides of the story. But you didn’t. You do have my email address though, because you have sent me the link to your article full of false accusations, after you have written it. Which, come to think of it, makes things even worse. You know how to contact me but didn’t even bother. I find this appalling. I still am a human being, and value my integrity. I should at least have the right to tell my side of the story. Do all of you find it normal, in the 21st century, to judge someone without giving him or her the right of defense?
This all leaves me with no option than to reveal information which is harmful for Mr Silva Moldes himself. Oh, the irony. If Mr Silva Moldes ever wants to try to restart again, people will now come across your article and my response to it.
You know, I never went to the trial, since I wanted to forget this ghastly episode of my life as quickly as possible. I told my sollicitor that I hoped for him to get better. I still do. I also told my attorney to tell the judges that all I wanted was to be left alone, and that Mr Silva Moldes would no longer contact me in any way. Apparently, that was too much to ask. He even got help from people and places I never would have expected, years after the incidents.
I do have to hand it to him though, he managed to play all of you quite well. Maybe now would be the opportunity to ask him for the complaints and evidence towards him. Ask him for the report of the conviction and the evidence in it. Ask him for my written statement. Ask him for the files from court and their content. Ask him to get in contact with his attorney, so that you can hear the story from a legal perspective, from someone who has defended him and his rights.
But in the meantime, I would very much ask you to clear my name immediately and to put straightforward and explicit public apologies, without any double meaning, suggestive content or ambiguous reading possible, on your website. This because of the severe false accusations that were made on social media, Website, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook that have damaged my name, privacy and reputation. If not, I will take further steps. Now it is all up to you.

VANCOUVER, BC – Felipe Silva Moldes, an innocent native-born Belgian Green Party constituent for 20 months virtually without charges or fair trial by Green Party Belgian MP (member of the Chamber of Representatives) Meyrem Almaci, the Belgian police, courts, prison system, and a psychiatric center who have held Mr. Silva Moldes with no legal cause following a brief phone call from Green MP Meyrem Almaci to Belgian Police in April 2014.
In April 2014, Mr. Silva Moldes turned to the Green Party and his MP Meyrem Almaci, mother of two, for assistance after he lost his employment and his girl friend was pregnant with their first child. After an initial intake conversation on Green Party MP Facebook, MP Meyrem Almaci blocked his access and would not answer his phone calls at Green Party headquarters in Belgium.
When Mr. Silva Moldes left a voicemail on MP Meyrem Almaci’s private phone demanding to be seen as was his right and questioning this behavior by the Belgian Green Party, within an hour a squadron of Belgian police were at his home to arrest him. In summary proceedings without witnesses, Mr. Silva Moldes was sentenced to prison and a psychiatric facility where he has languished for 20 months.
Mr. Silva Moldes is suicidal, exacerbated by officials and Green Party & MP Meyrem Almaci abuse of power
The aggressive behavior prison and psychiatric staff as well as the hopelessness of his situation because of clear abuse of power and official position by Green Party MP Meyrem Almaci and prison and psychiatric officials and is now suicidal.
EUCACH intervenes and interview with Mr. Silva Moldes is cut short by officials
Melanie Vritschan, Brussels director of the European Coalition against Covert Harassment (EUCACH.ORG) confirmed all of the above in an interview with Mr. Silva Moldes from his cell in the psychiatric facility in Belgium, which was cut short by officials. Following this, Mr. Silva Moldes has reportedly been transferred back to prison so that EUCACH and NewsInsideOut.com cannot have access to him and his story.
Supporters of Mr. Silva Moldes call for:
- Immediate release – The immediate release of Mr. Silva Moldes from prison and psychiatric facilities where he has been held unlawfully for 20 months effectively without for no cause and trial.
- Financial compensation – Financial compensation by Belgium to Mr. Silva Moldes for the paid and suffering he has endured, for the loss of liberty he has suffered for 20 months.
- Resignation of Green MP Meyrem Almaci from the Belgian Chamber of Representatives – The resignation of Green MP Meryem Almaci from the Belgian Chamber of Representatives for abuse of power in the case of Mr. Silva Moldes, her constituent whom she condemned to 20 months in prison and psychiatric ward via a brief phone call with Belgian police without any lawful cause or evidence.
