Vancouver, BC – A new UFO documentary from Canadian videographer Charles Lamoureux premieres September 11, 2016, on French-Canadian specialty TV channel Unis. “Des lueurs dans le ciel” (“The Lights in the Sky”) from Static 8 Films and Gone West Productions invites audiences to journey with the former skeptic as he travels British Columbia and the United States in search of answers to mysterious sightings of Unexplained Aerial Phenomena (UAP). Through long hours of independent research the self-taught amateur astronomer has brought international attention to contact incidents taking place in Vancouver, British Columbia, where the Lamoureux family is said to have been photographing UFOs since as early as 1937.
The following edited French to English machine-translation from Unis TV states “As a teenager Charles Lamoureux was passionate about astronomy. Years later, he moved to Vancouver and began astrophotography. With a camera mounted behind a telescope, he photographed celestial objects. One evening, he observed an incongruous diamond-shaped object passing the full moon. Unable to know what it is, he inferred that it was a UFO and he was hooked. He then invested in video equipment and night vision, and spent hours watching the sky. And he was not disappointed: he recorded dozens of videos of objects that are unlike anything known.
“In an attempt to learn more about these mysterious phenomena, Charles attended a meeting of experts on the subject, including amateur astronomers and other witnesses of unexplained aerial phenomena. Through Charles and his interlocutors, we will discover what tools are available to us to look up and help us identify the phenomena that we observe, how to review all assumptions in order to remove satellites, balloons and other drones and how not to get fooled by false UFO videos that abound on the web. We’ll learn more about the research carried out by UFO professionals and some of the assumptions regarding unexplained aerial phenomena.
“The lights in the sky” takes you to the edge of the known universe, and perhaps, who knows, beyond …”
“Des lueurs dans le ciel” premieres this Sunday, September 11, 2016, at 8 p.m. in all time zones. An English-language version of the documentary is said to be in development for release in 2017.
