Vancouver, BC – Exclusive new video published to social media on January 9, 2017, offers an apparent insider look at what one Presidential Medal of Freedom award-winning Hollywood icon said about politics and journalism at the 74th Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night. It has been cited by AP as a “stirring rebuke” in which actress Meryl Streep called out President-elect Donald J. Trump for what she described as his public bullying and shaming of a disabled reporter during the election campaign. The New York Times states the president-elect was not surprised to hear of the critique nor would it seem is he unprepared for its mirror-dimensional implications.
Stating she had “lost her mind,” Meryl Streep prefaced her controversial remarks last night with allusions to a prior weekend of screaming and lamentations in which she had lost her voice. Like a medicine woman possessed by spirit guides such a description invites comparison to the mad improvised drunken dance of actor Martin Sheen prior to going upriver on a mission to terminate Colonel Kurtz in the opening moments of “Apocalypse Now” (1979).
One analysis of the Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award recipient’s comments suggests how they indicate an act of deep empathy. “It was really Meryl Streep in the role of ceremonial healer giving voice to as-yet unspoken feelings of an assembled liberal collective,” such a perspective would offer. In this case, it would appear those feelings surround a hypothesis which envisions an armed assassin operating an unregistered ghost gun who takes aim at the president-elect.
It was Donald Trump who first articulated speculation concerning the role of gun owners in political selection when the Atlantic reported how he cracked “a joke about assassinating Hillary Clinton during a rally in Wilmington, North Carolina.” The president-elect was said to have hired a redundant 11 private security firms over and above his Secret Service detail as of last September. Perhaps this course of action is founded upon an understanding of how members of that detail had temporarily abandoned their posts for some as-yet-unknown reasons while protecting JFK in Dallas.
A ghost gun is a potentially unregistered, untraceable home-assembled weapon constructed using freely sourced open-market components. According to one online legal industry source “The gun’s maker begins with a “receiver,” the part of a gun that projects the bullet and houses the mechanical components of the firearm itself. A finished receiver is considered a working gun and is subject to regulation and control, while an unfinished receiver is not. An individual can convert an unfinished receiver into a working gun, without having to register the gun and provide a serial number. Without registration, the gun can’t be traced; hence the industry term for a firearm created from an unfinished receiver: “ghost gun.” It is possible to create “ghost” handguns all the way up to “ghost” semi-automatic weapons.“
Meryl Streep appears unlikely to pose any kind of personal threat to the president-elect. The actress disavowed violence during an interview that appeared in Time this past August. During that conversation Meryl Streep reportedly explained how “Unhappy people with guns are not going to make this country great.”
Through the Golden Globes mirror lens Trump becomes a new Kurtz for what may only be subversive fantasy to some, yet all-to-real in potential for a United States seething with both public and state-spawned violence. Reports of domestic of Gitmo-like race-fueled kidnapping and torture of the mentally disabled in America involving both Caucasian and African-Americans as predators and victims portray a monkey-see-monkey-do learning-by-example CIA-informed MKULTRA torture-crazed social environment in which the imperative of ethical leadership has been abandoned.
President Obama condemned a group of black teenagers who outperformed the video-evidence-phobic CIA in transparency by streaming their abuse of a bound mentally disabled white man over Facebook Live last week. That crime (minus live streaming) mirrored the acts of six white men and women who CBS News reported “kept captive in a shed, tortured, beaten, forced to eat rat, dog and human feces, and raped” a mentally disabled black woman in 2007.
The following is a partial transcript of Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Meryl Streep’s remarks to the 74th Golden Globe Awards preceded by the secret message encrypted backwards therein. Discussion of methods and philosophy guiding this practice can be found throughout this reporter’s previous related coverage discussed in links below.
My ghost rifle hoist: “Disrespect invites disrespect. Violence incites violence. When the powerful use their position to bully others we all lose. (Okay, go up with that [teleprompter]). Okay, this brings me to the press. We need the principled press to hold power to account, to call them on the carpet for every outrage.”
